Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, George Clooney, and Dwayne Johnson are just some of the global icons Ojinika “Oji” Obiekwe has interviewed across a nearly 25-year career in journalism and broadcast media.

Born and raised in Enugu, Nigeria, Oji moved to the United States at 16 to study Communications and Broadcast Journalism at Seton Hall University. A chance encounter led to an internship at WPIX-TV (PIX11 News) in New York, where she would spend more than two decades rising from intern to assignment editor, producer, and eventually entertainment correspondent and anchor.

In 2007, she was awarded a fellowship by the National Association of Black Journalists to report in Senegal, marking her first major on-camera reporting opportunity and cementing her path as a trusted global storyteller.

Today, Oji leads strategy and storytelling through the B.O.O.P. Group of Companies, with operations across Switzerland, the United States, and Nigeria. Her work now focuses on helping leaders and institutions shape narrative, protect credibility, and turn media presence into durable influence.
